Jesus is surely so cool.Taste and see

When Jocelyn was growing up, she was extremely ambitious. When she got her first job, she invested on different materials on how to be a billionaire. She longed for that life. She was determined to do whatever it took to be wealthy. She was not satisfied with her job. She tried everything, eating in high end hotels, excellent perfomance at work, going out dancing, further studies, extreme fitness, shrewd investing. But still during her silent times, she could experience a vacuum in her heart.

A promotion was promised, so she worked harder, sometimes being unfairly demanding to those under her. She understood that she was missing something. She was living a normal life, going to church every sunday, was active in some church groups, but there was something missing.

Augustine of Hippo — 'Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee.

Then one day, a friend helped her to rediscover the Lord, by attending a retreat. In a very personal way she experienced the Lord Jesus. She discovered that He was not a God seated somewhere waiting for petitions only, or waiting to judge us, or waiting to see me on Sunday. But that our hearts belong to Him.. She fell in love with Him, slowly. Like a dear friend, she would miss Him, she would wish him to be the first person she speaks to. She experienced deep joy, fulfillment and contentment, when with and in Him. Sin, would make her feel distant from Him, but this would be restored by sacrament of confession. The usual things she used to do, were now done for the glory of God. She found rest. She found peace.

Exodus 33:14. And the LORD answered, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

You see.. Jesus keeps His word. He does not lie. He is the wealthiest man in the world. He is gentlest. He is always forgiving, if we ask. He does not keep a record of wrongs when we confess. He is just. He wants everyone to be happy. He is the wisest, the cleverest.

He does not get tired of us. His judgement is perfect. He understands women! He is most powerful, in every way. He is always available when we want to speak to him. He is with us everywhere. He was there in our mom's womb. He will be there when we die, even in the tomb. He will remain this way for ever.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Jesus is truly so cool!
