Is logic holding you captive ?

1 maccabees 3:17-18 But when they saw the army coming against them, they said to Judas: “How can we, few as we are, fight such a strong host as this? Besides, we are weak since we have not eaten today.”18But Judas said: “Many are easily hemmed in by a few; in the sight of Heaven there is no difference between deliverance by many or by few.

Judas knew that the works of our Lord do not need logical explanations. Before the eyes of Jesus, earthly measures do not matter. We have heard so many testimonys on things that science, and human reasoning cannot explain.

For with God, all things are possible. Mathew 19:26.

Sometimes back, I listened to a testimony on thieves who went to attack a church at night. People in that church were very prayerful and faithful to Jesus. When they approached the church, they saw a large army in uniform surrounding the church.

They ran away, terrified. The following day, they tried to ask around. And they were advised that there was never a physical army guarding the church. They were shocked, and changed their lives.

2 Mac 8:18-20 18 “For they trust to arms and acts of daring,” he said, “but we trust in the Almighty God, who is able with a single nod to strike down those who are coming against us, and even, if necessary, the whole world.”

Jesus is able to provide supernatural protection to an even weaker looking person or group. He is able to do anything, as His power is not bound by human intelligence. He does not only provide protection, but he is able to do very extra ordinary things, that surpass human understanding.

1 Cor 1:27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

Our Lord will use the weak, children, unintelligent, a weaker or smaller looking nation or organisation, to overpower those who consider themselves all- wealthy, all-powerful.

1 Cor 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.!

Are we to trust science? Yes. Because intellect is created by Jesus. We should however keep in mind that there is a point beyond which intellect becomes challenged. And that we dont have to wait for intellect to become challenged. We can trust God with beautiful small favors, that are asked for in faith.

What are the desires in our heart, that we have hesitated to talk to Jesus about? We pray like the disciples did, in

Luke 17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith"!

That we may understand that with Jesus, there are no boundaries! Even in the very small matters. In Jesus, there is security, because all things are possible. In Jesus, there is true freedom!
