Do you Desire A Jesus Moment?

Most of us love Jesus and trust Him to a certain degree. But we have to accept, in times of difficulties, when our faith is tested, when we are at the crossroads, when all we can see is darkness, then we can choose whether to leave Him, or doubt Him, or to grow closer to Him, and experience Him at a much deeper level.

When the lockdown started, I stayed home for the first week. With no agenda. I always have planned leave with very clear agenda to avoid idleness. Then a whole week is suddenly placed before me. With no plan, and no agenda, I was very restless in the house.

I was kind of irritable. My kids were so happy that am home. I was happy. But felt misplaced. Then I read about a lady from China, in their fourth month of lockdown. She said that by end of the four months of lockdown, she did not want to go back to normal life. I thought she was crazy.

Then I cried to the Lord Jesus to come in to my idleness. And the rest is history..

Mary magdalene, hovering around the tomb. She had left her old life for the Lord. She had given Him all. So the death of Jesus was a total blow. Young hebrew lady alone at dawn, at the tombs. With possibility of being harassed by the guards. Then she saw Jesus. And imagine what went on in her heart when she said, Rabbouni! Love, deep love.

If I was the one! Deep realisation that she hadn't lost her master. That it was not all over. She didnt care if none believed her when she went to the disciples. Her joy must have been out of this world.

My favourite apostle, St. Thomas, saw his master suffer. His heart was broken. He had not understood the scriptures then. He was discouraged and so was away from the 'team' when Jesus revealed himself to the others. Then he turns up, then he says that he has to experience Jesus to believe. Then Jesus appears, and St Thomas is filled with awe.

And He becomes the first to call Jesus, My Lord and my God. Imagine how he felt in his heart. He went on to show his deep love for the Lord, by the work that he did in Asia. A very tough continent to preach to that time if you have watched his movie. And the fruits can be seen to this very date especially in Kerala India.

At the sea of Tiberius, they have backsliden. Gone to fish. They ain't exactly sure what their future is. Then their future is confirmed when Jesus Himself appears. St John, the one who loved Jesus most, is first to recognize Him.

And he says, it is The Lord! Imagine the feeling in their hearts!. Also the fact that He was already cooking something for them, like a mom. He knew they were hungry and discouraged after fishing the whole night and getting nothing. Their Lord, their future, and food!

As we continue with our slow life during this lockdown, you can choose what you want to experience.

Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Irrespective of where you are now, this could become The Time of your life. From this lockdown, you can have the Rabbouni! moment. You can experience My Lord and My God! You could catch up on lost time time with the Lord, and hang out at your own sea, with The Lord, roasting some fresh water fish.

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’

Everyone!

Mathew 7:11 For if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Ask!
